Next week, Tuesday, June 24, is a very special LPCA Monthly Meeting!! Below are two important agenda item that you will not want to miss. Please join us at 6:30pm for a special session to discuss a mural (see below) and 7pm for the regular meeting at Florida Ave Baptist Church (623 Florida Ave, NW – enter at 6th and U).
1. Board Elections: LPCA will be hold elections for President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. If you are interested in running please email Richard Myers at richardmyers@verizon.net letting him know what position you would like to run for. Only members in good standing are able to vote, so make sure to pay your annual dues by going to ttp://www.ledroitparkdc.org/
2. MuralsDC Proposal: A representative from MuralsDC will hold a brief session from 6:30-7:00 to get input fora mural to be designed on the parking lot wall of 1907 3rd St., NW. MuralsDC, funded by the DC Department of Public Works, works with accomplished local, regional and international artists to paint original works of art on buildings to help combat the rising tide of graffiti in the District. Since its inception in 2007, nearly 50 murals have been created.
